Overview

Alaska’s Bearclaw Lodge is a full-service, family-owned lodge in Alaska that offers the finest amenities for your trip. You may choose either a main lodge or Nushagak King Camp experience or a combination of the two. We are proud of our reputation for delivering exceptional service for our guests; you won’t find a better value or more professional, friendly and experienced service anywhere in Alaska.

At Bearclaw Lodge, we accommodate up to 10 guests per week so you can be sure to receive personal attention. Our Alaska Fly Fishing Lodge features fly fishing trips but we also have spinning and bait casting gear as well. Alaska’s Bearclaw Lodge offers many opportunities to enjoy not only world-class fishing, but also the activities, friendships, and moments of solitude which will make your trip the experience of a lifetime!

Our anglers get the benefits of access to waters that are exclusive and remote, where you will not compete for a spot on the river or participate in “combat fishing.” Anglers can enjoy our fishing program that is diverse and capitalizes on our knowledge of where and when to find the best Bristol Bay fishing. With our extensive variety of water to fish, both spin and fly anglers will find our waters challenging for the advanced anglers yet accommodating for the novice. Above all, our anglers catch fish and enjoy the sport of doing so.

What makes us unique:

  1. A remote lakefront location, Bearclaw lodge can only be reached by boat or floatplane.
  2. You have access to all five lakes in the 1.6 million acre Wood-Tikchik State Park, the largest state park in the U.S.
  3. We're able to offer varied Alaska fishing packages because we have multiple locations for fishing: Lake Aleknagik AND the Nushagak River.
