Overview

Sportfishing in Alaska Rivers and Lakes is legendary. The very names of some of the Alaskan Sport fish you may catch generate visions of adventure, Alaska Fishing Paradise! Our rivers feature: King Salmon, Red Salmon, Silver Salmon, Pink and Chum Salmon, world class rare and exotic Sheefish, Arctic Char, Grayling, Dolly Varden and some of the best Northern Pike fishing in Alaska. The Holitna River and tributaries are highly rated and listed in the state’s top 10 Alaskan Rivers for fly-fishing or lures. We are in very remote, untouched Alaska—many weeks we never see another boat or fisherman. Amazing and Affordable.

Alaskan-Adventures holds five world line records in Northern Pike & Shee-Fish, fishing the Holitna. These remote rivers are much less frequented by Alaskan sports fishermen. It is truly untamed Alaska full of tremendous wildlife and sport fishing diversity. I invite you to experience the Holitna, guided or unguided.

THE HOLITNA RIVER LODGE is located 238 miles SW of Anchorage in the core of Alaska bush country and is on a spectacular waterway with hundreds of miles of river to fish and hunt from. These river systems contains more species of Alaska sports fish and salmon than almost any other system in Alaska.

Alaska Sportfishing and Hunting at its best. Create your dream Guided or Unguided Alaska Fishing, Hunting, Nature & Eco Trips!

We stage our fishing and hunting adventures from our Holitna River Lodge. We are strategically located in the “Heart” of Alaska. We have a 2,300 foot runway for our Cessna 206 and our Super Cub, 3 duplex cabins, 4 private cabins, 20 boats, a beautiful garden and a big “Alaskan” main lodge. Our cooks, pilots and guides continue to give you that warm Alaskan hospitality! We are about as remote as you can get. The fishing is outrageous! Many times we go all week on our river system and do not see another boat. Alaskan Sportfishing Heaven! Your best bet is the fish/hunt combo packages!! Fishing in Alaska the way it should be done.

What makes us unique:

  1. We are about as remote as you can get. The fishing is incredible and many times we go all week on our river system and do not see another boat.
  2. The Holitna river system contains more species of Alaska sports fish and salmon than almost any other system in Alaska.
  3. We have a 2,300-foot runway for our Cessna 206.

Meals

Alaskan Adventures has a long history of fine dining and an even longer tradition of field to table. Just because you’ve opted for a remote Alaskan adventure is no reason to miss out on eating well.

Our chef’s source all meat and fish caught locally and herbs and vegetables are grown right on-site in our lodge garden. This allows our chef’s to prepare each dish as if he is cooking only for you. If you have dietary restrictions we are happy to prepare dishes that keep you healthy and on track.

Every meal at Alaskan Adventures is focused on freshness and presentation. You may be at a remote wilderness Lodge, but the taste is worthy of any top metropolitan city. The best part is that after a day of fishing, hiking, hunting, and more, you have earned every bite!
