ACCOMMODATIONS

Description

The lodge is made up of 7 waterfront cabin style units and 3 larger units that are all equipped with cooking facilities and private baths. Hotel rooms are also offered for the budget minded traveler and guests now have access to a common kitchen and barbecuing deck with propane barbecue for meal preparation.

Waterfront Duplex Cabins
Leonard’s Landings’ duplexes have stood as the premiere accommodations in Yakutat for two decades. These buildings have fully equipped kitchens, 2 bedrooms, 6 twin beds, private bath, laundry facilities, large covered porches, charcoal barbeques, and most importantly, an unobstructed view of the unequaled Wrangell-St Elias Mountains. Updates to the duplex cabins since 2009 have updated the units with new flooring and log beds installed in 2011. These 4 units sleep up to 6 people in a comfortable rural Alaskan atmosphere. Large groups of up to 12 people find that reserving both sides of a duplex cabin where they share a deck works well.

Large group units
Leonard’s offers 3 larger units for groups of 8 to 9 guests in twin beds. These accommodations offer private baths, large equipped kitchens, covered decks, charcoal barbecues, and living rooms complete with couches for relaxing.

Hotel Rooms
The lodge’s hotel building offers 11 unpretentious 2 person rooms, 2 of which have private baths. These accommodations fill the need for overflow guests from the cabins or work well for budget-minded guests. A fully equipped kitchen with two refrigerators is available for hotel guests’ use in meal preparation. The upper level deck with view of the boat harbor includes outdoor seating and a propane barbecue. The building offers two shower rooms and areas upstairs and down for gathering with fellow travelers, including satellite television and internet equipped computer, all available free-of-charge to our guests.
