Overview

The Wild and Scenic Rogue River is known worldwide as one of the most incredible places to fish for steelhead and salmon. Morrisons Rogue Wilderness Adventures & Lodge offers two main types of fishing trips for anglers from across the globe so you can enjoy world-class fishing on the Rogue. Our Orvis-endorsed fishing trips are right from Morrisons and include fly fishing and conventional style fishing. You can fish for a single day or multiple days while staying at Southern Oregon’s premier resort. The second package is a multi-day, lodge-to-lodge fishing trip in the Scenic Rogue River canyon. This trip travels down the Rogue River canyon and you’ll stay at different remote, scenic lodges along the river while fishing for steelhead and salmon. Whether you would like to experience a multi-day wilderness fishing adventure in the Rogue River canyon or stay at Morrisons Lodge and fish with our expert guides, we have a fishing trip for you.

The Wild and Scenic Rogue River is known throughout the world as one of the most incredible places to fish for steelhead and salmon, with over 215 miles of fishable water. Over the years, the removal of dams has created a free-flowing river from the hatchery at Lost Creek Lake to the Pacific Ocean, resulting in a variety of fish — including steelhead, fall chinook, coho salmon, springers, half pounders and trout.

Morrison’s Rogue Wilderness Lodge is located 16 miles downstream from Grants Pass along the banks of the famed Rogue River. The historic lodge and individual cabins—half-hidden by groves of evergreen, maple, and oak—are a peaceful refuge from the hectic, everyday world. Whether fishing, rafting, hiking, or dining, guests have the luxury of walking from their lodgings to the river.

Morrisons Rogue Wilderness Adventures & Lodge has catered to fly fishing anglers in the pursuit of steelhead since the lodge was built in 1946, and we are the only Orvis-endorsed fly fishing lodge in Oregon. We have been partners with Orvis in providing world-class fly fishing trips for over two decades. Morrisons also has some of the most experienced and enthusiastic guides available. We pride ourselves on the ability to cater to anglers at every skill level, from the beginner to the most experienced fly caster.

We remain the premier vacation destination for the Rogue River. We offer fishing trips, lodging, dining, rafting adventures, and hiking excursions. We are a vacation destination where hospitality meets some of the best river fishing you will find on the West Coast of the U.S. We would love to have you join us and show you the time of your life.

OUR FISHING GUIDES

Other Activities

Nationally protected since 1968, the Wild & Scenic Section of the Rogue River offers exciting whitewater, incredible hiking, overnight camping, and historic lodges. Trips leave on specific dates due to permits.

The canyon’s charm lies in its thrilling whitewater stretches, alternated with mild riffles, placid pools, and narrow canyons edged by towering cliffs. The old growth Douglas fir forest, mixed with deciduous trees, creates a perfect river bank habitat for the abundant wildlife of the Rogue River Canyon. Otter, beaver, deer, Roosevelt elk, black bear, cougars, osprey, bald eagles, mallards, wood ducks, wild turkeys, and many others flourish in the wilderness river canyon.

Oar rafts, paddle rafts, and inflatable kayaks are all available on our Wild Section Trips. The whitewater on the Wild Section is rated class III – IV in the canyon with two exciting Class IV rapids: Blossom Bar Rapid and Mule Creek Canyon. Duration of the trips are from two to four days and cover nearly 40 miles by river. Participants may choose to camp out under the stars, stay in historic wilderness lodges, or combine one or two nights of camping with one night of lodging.
