Overview

Embark on an Alaskan fishing trip at our exclusive, remote wilderness lodge.
Book your spot today and get ready to experience the thrill of catching trophy Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char, Grayling, Salmon, and more.

Founded in 1982 by legendary Alaskan guide Ron Hayes and his wife, Sharon, Alaska Rainbow Lodge was built with one goal—providing access to the best fishing in the world. What began as a single lodge with space for just 10 guests has grown into a premier fly-out fishing destination with top-tier infrastructure and unbeatable access to Bristol Bay’s finest waters.

For over three decades, Ron and Sharon set the standard for remote Alaskan fishing, offering expert guides, top-quality equipment, and exceptional hospitality. In 2016, longtime lodge pilot Chip Ferguson and his wife, Amanda, took the helm, continuing the tradition of world-class fishing adventures. With their passion and dedication, they carry forward the legacy of excellence that has made Alaska Rainbow Lodge a premier destination for anglers seeking the ultimate Alaskan experience.

What makes us unique:

  1. Daily floatplane flights to the best fishing streams in Bristol Bay
  2. We operate over 30 river boats, 8 float rafts, 3 float planes and furnish all rods, reels, lures and flies for your Alaskan fly fishing adventure.
  3. You’ll have access to thirty rivers and have forty boats at your disposal. You have a choice each evening to decide where you’ll f ish tomorrow.
  4. During your stay, we will filet, package, and freeze and/or smoke salmon caught on the river. Upon departure, each guest is allowed a 25 pound box of fish, packaged to airline standards for traveling.
  5. We furnish top-of-the-line equipment so you can fully enjoy your fishing vacation. Our lodge guides can teach novice guests, and help experienced fishers, improve their casts.

We were the first lodge to introduce Stealthcraft jet-powered drift boats, offering unmatched comfort and fishability.

Ratings and Reviews

“I first went to Alaska Rainbow Lodge about 20 years ago. It was great then it’s even better now. Chip and his crew have taken the Alaskan fishing trip to new highs. The fishing, service and food where remarkable. I highly recommend ARL to anyone considering this type of trip.” – William D., August 2019
“I just returned from my 10+ visit to the Alaska Rainbow Lodge. This was the best trip yet. It is an awesome experience. The lodge, float planes, food, and rivers full of fish make this experience a “fishing paradise”. There is nothing close to the total accommodations of the Alaska Rainbow Lodge….they really care about every need of their guests. I am counting the days until I return next year.”
- Sherman H., July 2019

“Simply put you will not find a better lodge to stay at for the value of the trip. The people make the place, and the safety of your trip is of paramount importance to all the staff at ARL. YOU MUST TRAVEL TO THIS PLACE. THIS IS TRULY A BUCKET LIST ITEM. However, I have been 3 times and simply would not even consider another lodge. You cannot top the BEST. Huge kudos and thank you to Chip and his team for a wonderful visit last week with my son.” – Darren J., June 2019
