Dakota Waters Resort is a family-owned campground and marina located on Beulah Bay of Lake Sakakawea, 14 miles north of Beulah, North Dakota. It offers a complete fishing experience with live bait, tackle, marine and camping supplies, and a well-equipped marina. The resort provides accommodation options, a restaurant, and various amenities for outdoor enthusiasts. The resort offers various accommodation options to suit different group sizes and preferences. There are six studio-style log cabins, each accommodating two to four people. These cabins include a kitchenette, restroom, air conditioning, and a full-size bunk bed. The Family Retreat Cabin is ideal for larger families, featuring two bedrooms, a day bed in the living room, a fully stocked kitchenette, and sleeping arrangements for four to six people. The Fishermen’s Getaway Cabin is designed for groups of friends, with two bedrooms, each containing bunk beds and a twin-size bed, making it a great choice for anglers.

For those who prefer RV camping, the resort has 49 RV sites, all equipped with water and electrical hookups. A nearby dump station is available for convenience, and all sites are within walking distance of the lake. Tent camping is also permitted, making it an excellent choice for those who want a more rustic outdoor experience.

A fuel station with ethanol-free premium gasoline is available both on and off the water. The resort has two paved boat ramps, a free-to-use fish cleaning station, and courtesy boat slips for daytime use. Guests can also rent kayaks, with single-seat options.

Other amenities include a children’s playground, a covered picnic shelter with beautiful lake views, and a well-maintained restaurant that serves burgers, sandwiches, fries, and appetizers. The grill operates from Wednesday to Monday and includes a breakfast buffet on weekends.

It operates from 11:30 AM until closing daily, ensuring guests have access to delicious food throughout their stay. Additionally, the grill is open Wednesday through Monday, with a breakfast buffet available on Saturdays and Sundays. Guests staying in cabins can also prepare their own meals using the kitchenettes provided, which include a stove, oven, refrigerator, and microwave.

While Dakota Waters Resort is known for its excellent fishing, it also offers a variety of other recreational activities. Guests can enjoy kayaking, hiking, and nature watching around the scenic Beulah Bay. Description

Boating enthusiasts will find excellent facilities at Dakota Waters Resort. The marina includes two paved boat ramps that provide easy access to the water. Courtesy boat slips are available for public use, with a two-hour limit per day during peak times. For those interested in longer-term docking, the resort offers seasonal dock rentals. There are 12 standard boat slips and 22 boat slips with electrical outlets. Due to high demand, the resort implements a lottery system for seasonal dock rentals.

  • Reservations: Open for 2025 bookings. Full payment is required at the time of cabin reservation.
  • Check-in/Check-out: Check-in at 3:00 PM, check-out at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out are available for an additional fee.
  • Cancellation Policy: Refunds vary based on notice time; cancellations within three days are non-refundable.
  • Store Hours: Extended summer hours available from June 13 – July 27.
  • Fireworks Show: An annual Independence Day fireworks display is held on July 4th at night.
  • Rules: Quiet hours from 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, speed limit 5 mph, pets must be leashed, and campfires must be properly maintained.
