Overview

The newly-renovated resort features four separate buildings that meet all of your needs and expectations. A short plane flight from Juneau takes you through the inside passage and over Glacier bay National Park and drops you straight into the Tongass National Forest to a quaint baordwalk community that we call home: Elfin Cove. Words cannot describe staying at Elfin Cove Resort with its sweeping Glacier Bay views and some of the best fishing in Alaska! Enjoy great hospitality and food while staying in comfortable lodges and cottages with wraparound decks.

Wildlife is abundant in and around the cove. While strolling along the dock or boardwalk you will be delighted by brightly colored sun stars and octopus in the water. Bald eagles soar over the community as hummingbirds feast on the decks of the lodge. You can watch the sea lions and sea otters playing in the water and be captivated by passing humpback and killer whales.

No other location in Elfin Cove can compete with our views of open water, mountains, glaciers and islands. And the sunsets and sunrises are simply magical!

What makes us unique:

  1. We have been in the business for 27 years providing great service and fishing excursions.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Description

Our fishing lodge is an excellent place to enjoy a remote southeast Alaska sport fishing vacation. The Resort consists of four unique buildings.

Our main building features our main dining area and common area. In this luxurious space you can sit back and relax, play some pool, watch a movie, or just enjoy the view. This building also has 5 guest rooms.

Guests who to stay in our chalet can choose from 2 guest rooms. There’s also a comfortable living room and a private deck that’s the perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee.

The beach house is a popular spot many of our returning guests choose. It has 3 guests room and a family room that leads to the hot tub.

Finally, there’s the formerly known Fishmasters Inn. This rustic four-story building is made of rich cedar wood and features wraparound decks that give you all the space you desire. The building has 6 guest rooms and no shortage of amenities including its own kitchen and dining area, plus a family room with an inviting loft to watch TV, play some games or curl up with a good book by the fire.

All of guest rooms at the Elfin Cove Resort have their own private bathroom.

Our resorts many exterior balconies are a great place for guests to relax and enjoy heavy ocean fragrances intermixed with spicy scents from the surrounding spruce and hemlock trees. Our Resort has the most spectacular views peering into the Cross sound and Glacier Bay National Park. No other location in Elfin Cove can compete with our views of open water, mountains, glaciers and islands. And the sunsets and sunrises are simply magical!

    Other Activities

There are some wonderful Elfin Cove attractions that you can enjoy. Guests spend their days hiking the trails, sightseeing, and immersing themselves in various wilderness adventures. A short boat ride could have you bathing at White Sulfur Springs, flying through the treetops on a zip line course or hiking on an island in search of an old military outpost.

You could also explore beaches within kayaking distance. Imagine getting an up close look at the awe inspiring Brady Glacier.

The Brown Bear enjoys our home as much as we do and can be seen on local beaches.

    BOATS

    Description

Fish aboard one of our 6 boats, ranging from 30 feet to 36 feet. We normally fish no more than four anglers on our smaller vessels and six anglers on our larger vessels. These boats are fast and have plenty of room which makes for a fun and productive fishing experience. Our fishing gear is generally 8-1/2′ Shimano and Lamiglas rods with Shimano reels, for salmon sport fishing and flexible 7′ Penn rods with Penn reels for halibut. This equipment assures an exciting and productive sport fishing experience. The terminal gear is all top quality and each night all the lines and leaders are checked to make sure they are in good shape for fishing the next day. Nothing is more disappointing and avoidable then losing a fish due to poorly maintained equipment. We like to stack the cards in our guests favor when it comes to quality gear!
