You know what they say… “BIG LAKE – BIG FISH” and it doesn’t get any bigger than Reindeer Lake. Reindeer Lake is one of the top, if not the top lake for Trophy Northern Pike and Trophy Lake Trout fishing in North America not to mention Walleye and Arctic Grayling making the Canadian grand slam of fishing all at your finger tips. Fresh, blue, clear, cold water and over 95 tributaries and rivers have given Reindeer Lake a world renowned reputation of being a fish factory, Reindeer Lake has almost two million acres to hunt and conquer the fish of your dreams. The tenth biggest lake in North America and twenty second biggest on the planet but with one very important exception from many other big lakes out there. Reindeer Lake has 5500 islands on it. No it’s not a misprint and not sure who counted them all, but with five thousand five hundred islands you will never miss a day of fishing to bad weather as with many other big lakes. All those islands provide thousands of sheltered spots to fish in all weather conditions. These islands also make for such natural beauty that you may forget to take a breath … until that monster Pike wakes you up!
Our guests catch and release more than 1000 northern pike over 40 inches each year with many in the 50 inch range. How about one boat catching 18 Northern’s over 40 inches in one morning. Our guests have caught in excess of 200 Lake Trout over 20 lbs. with some of the monsters in excess of 60 lbs. 21 Northerns over 40 inches in 120 minutes …unbelievable? Not here!

Fishing lodges in the Bristol Bay region of Alaska offer the adventurous fly fisherman some of most amazing fishing opportunities in North America. Alaska’s Bristol Bay is home to the world’s largest salmon run. This sprawling watershed of winding streams and rivers, vast wetlands and tundra, forests of alder and spruce, is referred to as “America’s Fish Basket” because it is one of the most productive marine ecosystems in the world. All five species of Pacific salmon—sockeye, king, silver, chum, and pink—spawn and rear in the Bristol Bay watershed, supporting wildlife like brown bears and eagles, as well as human industry and culture.
From rustic fishing camps that are all about hardcore fishing to luxurious off-the-grid lodges, like everywhere in Alaska there is a good selection of fishing lodges in Bristol Bay. With so many options for catching salmon in Bristol Bay as well as rainbow trout, steelhead, cutthroat trout or any of the numerous species available), we poured through our directory of Bristol Bay fishing lodges and compiled a list of the top 10 best fishing lodges in Bristol Bay by analyzing:
