Overview

Taylor River Lodge is situated in a quiet place called Taylor Canyon in southwest Colorado. It’s a special retreat for people who want top-quality fishing while still enjoying all the things that make them feel comfortable. The lodge has cozy cabins and log homes by the river where you can stay. The main Lodge, called Kokanee, is really comfortable and has both indoor and outdoor fireplaces. It’s a great spot to relax and look out at the river and the casting pond. You get to use all the cool things on the property just for yourself, like a pool house by the river, a sauna, a steam room, a spa, and a place to watch movies.

Description

Two single family homes and six cabins still have their 1940s board-and-chink bones but have been renovated with en suite bathrooms and personal steam showers. The design blends international touches, like Moroccan rugs and Indian block-printed pillows with vintage finds, such as hickory wood rocking chairs and antler-framed mirrors.

Whether you want to have fun or unwind, there are many options available on the property. Enjoy the saltwater pool at the Bathhouse or visit the game cabin for nighttime billiards. You can also go to the elevated BBQ and fire pit area for drinks after dinner. The horseshoe-shaped bar in the main lodge, with its comfy chairs, leather furniture, and warm fireplace, is the perfect place to share fishing stories.

Meals

Meals at Taylor River Lodge showcase locally-sourced ingredients from the Rocky Mountain’s local farms and purveyors. Tell us your dietary preferences and then our culinary team will create dishes like smoked pulled pork with heirloom grit soufflé and cast iron chicken with cornbread Panzanella salad with watercress and apple cider jus.
