The Salmon Dance

I can’t believe I missed this music video of the Chemical Brothers song Salmon Dance, from their album We Are the Night from way back in 2007. I used to be into the Chemical Brothers back in the early 2000s, but then got busy with life and stuff (mainly kids).

But I came across this video today and thought I’d post it not only because it tells the story of the Pacific Salmon’s life from spawning to eggs hatching, travelling out to sea (and as far away as Japan) then the return trip past the coasts of Alaska and BC to the same river where they were born…but also because the video is just so freakin’ awesome!

Nevermind that the “salmon” is really a squirrel fish, and marine and freshwater tropical fish are mixed in the same aquarium…when you see it you’re bound to let it slide. Seriously, watch this now!
