Ketchikan Alaska is known as the “Salmon Capital of the World” and is famous for huge runs of salmon, calm water halibut fishing, and many species of rock fish. You don’t have to go far (15-30 minutes) to get into some truly awesome fishing. Whether you’re unguided fishing in our 23′ bare-boats or guided fishing with a charter captain in our 30′ charter boat, you can enjoy same day combination salmon, halibut and rockfish trips. Some days the best salmon fishing is just five minutes away from our dock.
Self-guided packages let you fish and explore at your own pace and come and go as you please. The protected waters of the inside passage provide the perfect opportunity for the do-it-yourselfer to safely pilot a boat and fish for king salmon, silvers, pinks, chum, halibut and rockfish. To further enhance your experience our 21-23′ boats are equipped with GPS chart plotters, fish finders and VHF radios so you can safely find your way while you’re fishing and sightseeing. We provide an orientation with helpful instruction on operating and fishing your boat safely and effectively. If you are new to fishing this area, we recommend your first day guided on the water.
There are several rivers and creeks located within boating or driving distance from our fishing lodge. These fresh water systems are great for steelhead, trout, salmon and black bear viewing depending on what time of year you fish them. We don’t provide fresh water spinning rods, fly rods or waders but if you bring your own and want to spend a day on the river, we can show you where to go.
