Overview

Welcome to the Best Salmon Fishing in Alaska! Our superb location enables us to fish the lower Nushagak River in Bristol Bay where some of the best salmon fishing in Alaska occurs annually. We invite you and your guests to fish with our experienced guides for the salmon fishing trip of a lifetime! The Nushagak River has Alaska’s largest known fishable king salmon run!

In the heart of Bristol Bay, Alaska lies Nushagak River Adventures Lodge—a short 65-minute commercial flight from Anchorage, then a scenic 35-minute floatplane ride from Dillingham, Alaska. The Nushagak River in Southwest Alaska is a little slice of heaven—originating from the Alaska Range flowing into the Nushagak Hills continuing on into Nushagak Bay. The river banks are lined with spruce, poplar and fireweed with open tundra just beyond. It’s stunning, peaceful and serene. Guests are likely to see eagles soaring and moose foraging with an occasional bear sighting, plus lots and lots of fish.

Sleep in comfortable, insulated 12′ x 20′ wood cabins with real beds, quality mattresses and down pillows that provide first class comfort in our remote fishing camp—just one aspect that sets us apart from the other camps.

We are extremely proud of the experience and professionalism of our fishing guides. They are some of the best in the business—fish catching machines who put your safety and enjoyment first.

After four intense seasons of planning and executing, we have rebuilt the lodge from the ground up. What used to be a dilapidated fish camp is now a full service fishing lodge recognized for comfort and amenities you would not expect to find on the remote Nushagak River in Bristol Bay, Alaska.

We target kings, sockeye and silvers, chums and pinks are bonus fun and occasionally we will fish for other species.

What makes us unique:

  1. World-class king salmon fishing
  2. Massive silver salmon run
  3. Little to no fishing pressure
  4. Superb guides
  5. Outstanding service from lodge staff
  6. Brand new cabins with new quality beds and bedding
  7. 5-star cuisine

ACCOMMODATIONS

Description

Nushagak River Adventures Lodge is an all-inclusive Alaska fishing lodge at its finest. Nine brand-new, cozy wood cabins are perfect for families or friends. We have rebuilt and upgraded our entire property from the cabins to the main lodge, the staff dorm to the brand new bathhouse with ample room for all and separate entrances for men and women.

Accommodations include comfortable, insulated wood cabins complete with USB wall outlets and real beds, quality mattresses and down pillows. We also offer flush toilets, hot showers and satellite internet. Most of our cabins accommodate four anglers and some are built for two.

Improvements haven’t stopped at this Alaska fishing lodge, we’ve upgraded our boats and fishing gear with eight new Alumaweld 20-foot boats powered by 90 HP Mercury motors that comfortably fish up to four guests and easily navigate the river. We’ve brought in all new Lamiglas rods and Daiwa line counter reels, new line and tackle. Our top-level guides are armed with the knowledge and the gear for this supreme river. Simply put, we catch fish even when other camps don’t.

We invite you to stay and fish with us on the Nushagak River. Our Alaska fishing lodge is one of the few real-wood framed camps on the lower Nushagak River, and one of only three privately held camps on the river.

Among the finest Alaska fishing lodge hospitality offered in Bristol Bay, we pride ourselves on being attentive hosts with our eyes and ears open to our guests. From the moment you step off the floatplane, you’ll be greeted by our camp leader and team ready to assist you to your cabin. After orientation, we will take you out to fish for the rest of the day. Guests come back to camp at 6 pm to get cleaned up and enjoy a cocktail, if desired. You are welcome to bring alcohol, beer or wine to relax in a responsible manner.

Most of the land along the Nushagak River is owned by the Choggiung LTD Native Corporation. This limits the number of lodges, camps, and anglers on the Nushagak which in turn provides you the very best opportunity to be “on the fish”. Some of the best Alaska fishing is right in front of our Alaska fishing lodge. Fish all day with your guide then battle fish after dinner back at the lodge. Depending on timing, our guests can catch and release in the evenings right off our banks.
