As our highest rated lodge in Yakutat (the only permanent settlement along this remote stretch of coastline, halfway between Anchorage and Juneau), Monti Bay Lodge and Resort is both remote and accessible. Leave on an early-morning flight from Seattle, and they'll have you on the water by noon, thanks to a A World War II airstrip that drops you just minutes from the lodge. Fishing for massive trophy Lake Trout and Northern Pike in Great Slave Lake is incredibly thrilling and productive, and unlike nowhere else in the world (except the rest of Northern Canada). Overall, if your primary goal is to take home a lot of fish and don't require a guide, there's great value here.

Alaska's Anvik River Lodge claims to be "Alaska's most remote lodge", and while we can't be certain of that, it is pretty darn remote, and the only fishing lodge on all 120 miles of Anvik River. Angler's Alibi is a "high-end" remote fishing camp that doesn't feel like a typical rustic fishing camp. Tents that feel like a building (carpeted wood floors!), electric perimeter fence and fantastic food prepared by world-class chef. We especially like the low 2:1 guest-to-guide ratio. Their location on the tidewater section of the Alagnak River means great fishing right off the shoreline and the dock. With all this, extremely reasonable prices mean high value, and that's why we awarded it our Editor's Choice.
At the Alagnak Lodge you will enjoy an adventure that is all about you. This is a wilderness fishing lodge on tidal waters where the genetically pure salmon arrive on the incoming tides. We provide everything you need so you can make wonderful lifelong memories. Our mission is to deliver to you the wonderful experience you seek at a great value. With only 6 guests at a time, it's easy to see why the hospitality is second to none and they are rated so highly.
Island Point Lodge is unique in that they focus on unguided fishing only—this saves you a lot of money if you don't need (or want to pay for) a guide. Boats are provided for as long as you want, and given the prime location where there's really no unproductive spot, we'd have to say that as long as you know what you're doing, this is the place you're going to haul in the most fish (yet feel totally relaxed a the end of the week since you can take your time and fish when you want).

Fishing close to the reefs and kelp beds allows fishing shallow and with light tackle, bringing the fish fighting experience to the next level.
Places like Eagle Nook Resort must be classified as 5-star "luxury resorts"...but you get a lot of value for the money—even more so if you have US dollars. The guys at Eagle Nook will definitely take care of you, and you'll catch lots of salmon and halibut.

Overall, it's a very well-run, amazingly comfortable experience with probably the best river fishing guides in BC.
Located in the Great Bear Rainforest, Shearwater Resort and Marina offers excellent value, very comfortable accommodations (they also include wine at dinner) and a full 10-12 hours of guided fishing, all for a per-day-fishing packages starting at about US$600.00 per person, which is a fantastic deal. The fishing is consistently excellent at most times of the year, with King Salmon that are consistently in the Tyee class (over 30 pounds) and sometimes topping 72 lbs., Coho or Silver to 25 lbs., and Halibut to 200 lbs. If not fishing, there are fantastic eco-adventure activities offered, and incredible wildlife abounds here, so it's a great place to bring a significant other who may not want to fish.
Elfin Cove Resort is perfect for a larger group, with a recently renovated lodge nestled in be beautifully lush surroundings. The boats are big (30' to 36') and comfortable, with no more than 4 guests per boat, giving you lots of space. Captain Mike is also very experienced, and his team all provide exceptional service.
Lots of flexibility in trip packages Halibut; Kings: Sockeye; Trophy Rainbows no pre built packages your vacation you choose the species!! and accommodations is what sets Salmon Catcher Lodge apart (not to mention a 5-star rating TripAdvisor rating from well over 100 past guests). They must be doing something right! This is a drive-in lodge, with easy access from Anchorage or Kenai.
Situated on one of the most iconic sections of the Alagnak river known as the "Upper Braids", Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge is another really remote lodge that provides a whole lot of luxury, and great prices translating into considerable value. The property consists of 160 acres of prime river frontage, so it's guaranteed to be uncrowded. They are only accessible via bush plane, and have their own landing strip.
If you're looking for something secluded and what you might describe as "otherworldly", where the land is the epitome of "untouched", Aylmer Lake Lodge fits the bill perfectly. Fishing trips here, where the land is barren and flat, yet full of exotic life (at least for us "southerners") and humongous skies are true experiences of a lifetime. The Lake Trout are enormous and plentiful, and the and the lodge is more comfortable than you would expect for someplace so remote.
